About Me

My name is Michelle Damon. I am a 27 year old mother of two boys, Frank age 5 and Logan 2.  I was born and raised in Maine. I have over 15 years of experience working with children. I started out babysitting when I was 10 years old. In high school I worked at daycare for 2 years until I graduated in 2000, I married my high school sweet heart and moved to New Jersey where he is currently stationed. I got a job at McGuire AFB Child Development Center right after I moved here. I worked there for 4 years until I had my first son in 2004. I love and enjoy working with children but after I had my first son I decided to stay home with him. I missed working with children but did not want to give up spending time with my own boys, so I decided to do it from home. I recently went through the process of being registered through the state. I have chosen child care as my life long profession. Watching each child grow and develop to their fullest potential and being involved as a part of this growing process makes my job very rewarding. It takes hard work and dedication to be good at what I do. I strive in understanding, patience and love in teaching and caring for children. I am successful only with the support and help of the parents who entrust their children to me.

My Husband

My husbands name is Frank Damon. He too was born and raised in Maine. He joined the Air Force in 1998 after he graduated high school. He is currently going to college to complete his bachelors degree. The only day he has off from college classes, he is a volunteer mentor at Crichton Elementary School. He started and is currently in charge of the military mentor program at Crichton. His new goal is he would like to see this program expand to other schools. He is currently one of my back ups if I should ever need to run an errand that cannot wait until after the last child leaves. I usually schedule those types of things during naps if I can. I will let you know in advance I had have to do this and it does not happen often.
